Q: Who can apply?
A: Anyone can apply worldwide. All submissions must fall within the theme and appropriate category. Those submitted that do not fall within the theme/category will not be considered.


Q: Who is considered a student or non professional?
A: All students are eligible for the student discount, regardless of the concentration or major in which you are studying. A non professional is someone who does not earn the majority of their income from the field in which you are entering your work and/or does not belong to a professional organization in that field


Q: Is there a limit to the number of submissions you can make?
A: No, you can submit as many times as you would like to however each entry is a separate fee.


Q: Is there a submission fee?
A: Yes, see above for each category’s submission fee.


Q: How should I submit my images for the award?
A: You must first complete the online submission form, filling in the necessary details about your entry–credit name, entry title, description, and select the category(s) that you are submitting to. Once you have completed the online submission form and filled in the details of your entry you will be directed to the upload page where you can upload your photos.


Q: What are the requirements for submitting an entry?
A: Photographers and videographers need to submit images or files and brief caption and photo/video credit. Interior Designers and Architects need to submit images of design or structure, brief description, and credit for the design or structure.


Q: How can I pay for the images that I submit?
A: There are two options to pay for your submissions: PayPal or Credit Card. At this time we only accept US currency.


Q: What are the specifications for the images I submit? / How should I prepare my files for the submission?
A: For Photography: please prepare your image files according to the specifications below:
JPG only. (NO TIF, GIF, PNG, PDF files will be accepted.), 72 DPI, minimum 1,000 pixels on the shortest side, and the file should not exceed 4mb. Please only use letters and numbers in the title of the image.
For Video: files must be .mov or .mp4 files; filmed in horizontal / landscape mode (format 16:9) 1080
For Interior Design and Architecture: make sure your images or a JPG or PNG file cropped to a 4:3 format are at least 1000px wide and no larger than 4mb. Please only use letters and numbers in the title of the image.


Q: Can I enter the same image in multiple categories?
A: Yes, you may enter the same image into as many categories as you wish. In fact, doing so may increase your chances of winning. This is an additional fee for each extra category that you select for a single entry: 20% off the initial entry fees for photography, and 50% off for the architecture and interior design categories.


Q: Is there a time period when the images, content needs to be captured or created?
A: Yes, content needs to be created between 2017-2021.


Q: How do I know if you received my entry?
A: You should receive a confirmation email shortly after you submit and pay for your work.


Q: Can I send print materials, books, CD’s, products?
A: No, we accept online submissions only.


Q: Can I submit an entry that has won an award or has been entered in a previous award?
A: Yes, you may submit work that has been submitted or that has won awards in previous awards.


Q: What is considered a series/essay?
A: A series or essay consists of at least two and no more then ten images, sharing a common theme or concept and a single title. Please make sure your images work together as a whole, as they will not be judged individually when entered as a series.


Q: What is the jury process?
A: The jury will vote separately on all submissions in the different disciplines. There will be a total of four grand prize winners in each of the disciplines: photography, video, architecture and interior design.


Q: When will the prize winners and finalists be announced?
A: Winners and finalists will be announced later this year, exact date TBD.


Q: How will I know if I was selected?
A: If you are selected as a finalist, you will be contacted directly through the email address which you provided in the submission form. The finalists will also be announced via newsletter, Voyage website, and social media. All entrants will be notified by email of the outcome.


Q: Where will my images (s) be shown?
A: By placing in Voyage Travel Awards, you are agreeing to be included in the Voyage publication and online gallery that showcases the full collection of winning images. The promotion of your work is through Voyage press releases, social media and gallery shows (when possible). Your images are never used for any purpose other than the promotion of the Voyage: Travel Awards.
